Sous Chef Summer Camps 2025

The Sous Chef Summer Class gives high schoolers an exciting chance to dive into the world of culinary arts! This one-week course is perfect for aspiring chefs who want to learn what it takes to be a sous chef in a professional kitchen. Through hands-on lessons, teamwork challenges, and creative cooking tasks, students will develop key kitchen skills while building confidence, leadership, and a love for cooking.

While this class runs alongside the Junior Chef program, the Sous Chef role takes it a step further—acting as a mini-leader in the kitchen. Students will help organize their team, ensure ingredients are fresh and prepared correctly, and keep everything running smoothly. They’ll take on responsibilities like being a Kitchen Organizer, Taste Tester, and Food Safety Monitor, all while having fun and learning essential skills to thrive in a professional kitchen environment.

What Students Will Learn:

  • Culinary Skills: Knife techniques, baking basics, cooking methods, and food presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Organizing stations, teamwork, and quality control.
  • Food Safety: Maintaining cleanliness and handling ingredients properly.
  • Team Leader: Act as second in command to the Chef. Support and lead the session, help keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly and ensure everyone is successful.

This class is open exclusively to high school students who are passionate about cooking, enjoy collaborating with others, and are eager to develop professional kitchen skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Cost: $250 plus tax for a full week of hands-on learning

    Class schedule

    Each camp runs Monday through Friday for a full week. We offer two class options per week: a morning session from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and an afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 

    The camp runs from June 9 to August 15. Please indicate your preferred week and time slot (morning or afternoon) on the application.
